EA: Resolution 1: Ex-Officio Attendance

Whereas: The membership of the Employee Assembly (EA) includes ex-officio members, and

Whereas: The EA charter states:

3.1 The following shall be members of the EA without vote: the Employee Trustees, the Editor of PawPrint, and a representative from the Office of Human Resources appointed by the President to serve as a resource upon request of the EA.

And,

Whereas: The presence of these ex-officio members is intended to promote and facilitate discussion, field ideas and concerns, update and inform the membership of the EA, and answer questions.

Be it therefore recommended: that the above stated ex-officio members, or their designated representatives, should attend no less than four (4) regularly scheduled EA meetings, two per semester, and

Be it finally recommended: that if an ex-officio member is not able to meet this minimal attendance, requirement, a replacement will be sought to fill the designated function of the ex-officio member.

Respectfully submitted,

Michael V. Esposito
