EA Education Committee Meeting Minutes

Present: Lavanya Sayam, Melissa Jane Kitchen, Leah C. Cook, There O’Connor, Cassandre Joseph Absent: Kappy Fahey, Jennifer Macera, Kristen Ciferri

Re-defining committee’s mission statement to send forward a comprehensive and well defined message, be a better communication tool and advocate for employees.

Coordinate efforts better and more explicitly with Administration/leadership.

Follow up questions for EDP survey opt-in respondents (salary, non-work related degree support)

Leverage social media tools (Facebook/LinkedIn) for spreading the message of Ed committee instead of the proposed list serve.

Benchmarking with parallel committee’s in other universities to get an idea of the nature of work being done.

Cassie: Follow up with HR regarding educational benefits visibility during employee orientation. Benefits member talk.

Leah: Mission statement follow up/editing by other committee members.
