Hey! I’m Radhika Gupta and I’m running for the Women’s Representative in Student Assembly. I understand that the STUDENT assembly is BY THE STUDENTS and FOR THE STUDENTS, and decided to run because of this. I want to represent and support a group I’m part of. I am passionate about Women’s issues and would like to target them by using my ABC platform: ASSERTIVE BEHAVIORS to counter sexual assault : 1) Initiate interactive workshops regarding assault 2) Create Panel Discussions that are inclusive of the LBTQ community and men 3) Motivate students to report sexual assault 4) Teach students that saying no is acceptable BROADER PERSPECTIVES to increase awareness of issues: 1) Educate about oppression, differently abled individuals, and diversity 2) Work with women and men of very different backgrounds to increase comfort in new environments CONFIDENT ATTITUDES and acceptance: 1) Holding events to increase acceptance of different body types and skin colors 2) Address issues regarding and of Greek Women 3) Create Healthier and more accessible options around campus It’s AS EASY AS ABC to vote FOR THE STUDENTS.
