Meeting Notes from July 7, 2008

Present: Beth McKinney, Lauran Jacoby, Kris DeLuca Beach, Bill Liddick, Helen Stehr, Tine Reimers, Rose Braman (scribe)

Discussion:

• Goals of Strategic Plan
• Flexibility seems to be the top issues
• Document that Beth McKinney supplied on Flexibility issues and what is the current status of laws, and what is being initiated on campus
• 39 Recommendations — we need to look at what has been done; what needs to be done; and what is on our current list of priorities
• Committee needs to look at each item on the HR strategic plan and categorize and prioritize
• Decision on what style of working document format we use
• Pick a direction to go with and look at what should be the committee’s priority
• Family issues as a goal of committee?

Next Steps:

• Each member of the committee will identify 10 priorities that they feel the committee should focus on
• Each member will send their top 10 to Beth to combine
• Rose will work on setting up a special meeting and the committee will look at what the consensus is as far as priorities and work from there.
