  6. Adjournment

Funding Requests:

A. From the Convocation Committee:
Convocation is requesting $15,000 from the GPSA. This is equitable funding to the $10 per graduating undergrad. This request is not very flexible. If an equitable contribution is not provided, graduate students will most likely not be able to attend the annual convocation ceremony in Barton Hall.
B. From the Slope Day Committee:
Slope Day is requesting $15,000 from the GPSA. This is roughly 25% of an equitable contribution to the undergrads. Undergrads currently contribute $12 per student. Slope Day is slightly more flexible in their request as we understand that the GPSA budget is limited. However, if a fair contribution is not made, graduate students will not be able to participate in this annual celebration for free. This would directly go against President Rawling’s charge of creating an event for the entire Cornell community.
