R7. A Resolution to Revise the Funding Guidelines of the Graduate and Professional Student Assembly Finance Commission

WHEREAS the GPSA’s bylaws mandate that the Appropriations Committee examine the GPSA Finance Commission’s funding guidelines in non-Activity Fee setting years; and

WHEREAS the Appropriations Committee has sought input on potential improvements to the FC guidelines and held a series of meetings to develop revisions to the guidelines; and

WHEREAS approval of the Committee’s work from the larger GPSA is necessary for the new guidelines to take effect.

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the GPSA accepts the GPSA Finance Commission funding guidelines document presented with this resolution as the operating procedures that future members of the Finance Commission will follow.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Office of Assemblies post the new guidelines on the GPSA Finance Commission’s website for public access and download.

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that this resolution and the accompanying guidelines be sent to Peggy Beach, Director of the Office of Assemblies; Kent Hubbell, Dean of Students; and Barbara Knuth, Vice-Provost and Dean of the Graduate School.
