(Current) Events must occur on the Cornell campus or in the greater Ithaca area, to ensure that the Cornell community has the opportunity to participate.

(Proposed) Program events must occur on the Cornell campus, to ensure that the Cornell community has the opportunity to participate. Exception can be given under special situations, such as a lecture series in a public forum downtown. Organizations must submit a special project request with detailed explanations of why the event must be held off campus, and transportation should be provided. Social events must occur within greater Ithaca area.

Shouldn’t this indicate that club sports events can also be in the greater Ithaca area? Clubs often have to use the Lansing facilities due to availability on campus. It seems that this should be able to happen without going through a special approval process.
