SA: Resolution 30

Whereas, the Appropriations Committee voted that the SAFC did err in denying funding to Recreational Tennis for their tennis club memberships by a vote of 8–1−2. The committee felt that since there was ambiguity with respect to the classification of the tennis membership request as either a durable good or a local event, the group should be given the benefit of the doubt. Also, in past years the group had been funded and forcing them to submit more than a dozen request for local events would be clunky and unnecessary;

Be it therefore resolved that, the Assembly adopt the following:

• The SAFC did err in denying funding to Recreational Tennis for their tennis club memberships and the request shall be considered valid for a durable good;

Be it further resolved that, the SAFC shall only allocate money if all other funding criteria not considered by the Appropriations Committee are met, including funding caps or other guidelines issues.
