From the Cornell Assemblies
The Student Assembly has been charged with providing legislative oversight for the Dean of Students Office and the Division of Campus Life. The Student Assembly provides a recommendation to the Board of Trustees on the Student Activity Fee, and manages the disbursement of funds for the upcoming cycle.
The Student Assembly has found itself focused on a number of issues that may or may not be within the scope of its oversight. Resolutions that are focused on subjects beyond campus have created considerable controversy. They have left questions in the minds of many undergraduates about how the assembly chooses to allocate its time.
