Undergraduate students wishing to join this committee should apply online:
Please read on for more information about what we do and what kind of volunteers we are looking for. You must include your resume in the application. Click here for a sample resume. Between twenty and thirty undergraduate students may serve on this committee. The committee is staffed by a special process explained in the SAFC bylaws.
The Student Assembly Finance Commission (SAFC) is the funding arm of the Student Assembly (SA). The SAFC is responsible for funding over 350 registered undergraduate student organizations on the Cornell campus.
A Commissioner on the SAFC is responsible for evaluating budget applications from student organizations, conducting budget hearings with student leaders, developing and implementing funding policy changes, promoting SAFC recruitment and outreach, and attending weekly meetings.
We are looking for the following qualities in our candidates:
Any undergraduate student! We are committed to representing the Cornell student body and the numerous organizations we fund. Freshmen and sophomores are particularly encouraged to apply.
The application consists of submitting a r�sum� and answering the following questions:
The Student Assembly appoints a liaison who serves as full voting member of the commission and its executive board.
The Student Assembly Vice President of Finance serves as an ex-officio, non-voting member of the commission and its executive board.
