The committee has a total of 12 to 20 voting members and 2 ex-officio, non-voting. Terms of appointment are one year unless otherwise indicated.
Four to twelve voting positions are open to undergraduate students. These positions include:
Undergraduate students wishing to join this committee should apply online:
One voting position is open to employees. Applicants who work within a student residence are generally favored, but any Cornell employee may apply.
Employees (non-academic or non-professorial academic staff) wishing to join this committee should apply online:
One voting position is open to faculty. Applicants must be participants in one of the following through the duration of their membership in the committee:
Except where otherwise indicated, faculty positions on assemblies committees are staffed by the Faculty Senate. Since the Faculty Senate is external to the Office of the Assemblies, please inquire directly through the following address if you are a member of Cornell faculty and are interested in serving on an assemblies committee:
The Student Assembly appoints one of its members to serve as chair of and liaison to this committee.
The Student Assembly appoints two of its members to serve as voting members of the committee. One of these members must be a Freshman-at-Large representative.
The following university staff serve as ex-officio, non-voting members of this committee:
The Inter-Fraternity Council staff one voting position in the committee with a representative from its members.
The Pan Hellenic Council staff one voting position in the committee with a representative from its members.
The Africana and Latino Greek Letter Council staff one voting position in the committee with a representative from its members.
Note: This group is now called the Minority Greek Letter Council, but is referenced by its former name in the SA Charter.
