Next GPSA Meeting: Monday, October 29 at 5:30pm

At our next meeting on Monday, October 29 at 5:30pm in Malott Hall’s Bache Auditorium, the GPSA will hear presentations by Dean Barbara Knuth and Associate Dean Jan Allen of the Graduate School, Anne Poduska, International and Graduate Career Adviser, and a represenative from IT Strategic Plan.

We will also have a student advocacy breakout discussion and vote on a resolution concerning the creation of a standing Faculty Award Committee.

Halloween Party!

Come to the Annual Johnson Graduate School of Management Halloween Party.

This Saturday, October 27, 2012 from 9:00pm to 1:00am in Kennedy Hall, Trillium.

Tickets can be purchased online and are $25 in advance and $35 at the door.

Panel Discussion: Latinos in the Law

Hosted by Latino Cornell Alumni & Latinos in the Law, the speakers will talk about their experiences as Latinos in private practice, public interest, and academia.

Panelists: Katerina Barquet, Miguel Loza, Jr., Prof. Eduardo Penalver, and Tiffany Sepulveda.

Cornell is undertaking a campus-wide space-use study, and your feedback is critical to assure graduate student needs are met. Email spaceplanning@cornell.edu to sign up for one of the following focus groups:
• Tuesday, October, 30, 2012 at Rice Hall from 4:30 to 5:45pm (Room 300) or 5:30 to 6:45pm (Room 301C)
• Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at Rice Hall from 4:30 to 5:45pm (Room 300) or 5:30 to 6:45pm (Room 301C)

Student Advocacy

The Student Advocacy Committee is hosting a town hall meeting for graduate and professional students. Share your thoughts about student life with students and administrators. Your voice will guide student and academic leadership on how to make Cornell a better place.

Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 7:30pm in Willard Straight Hall, Memorial Room. Open to all graduate and professional students. Refreshments will be provided.
