Employee Assembly Meeting Minutes

I. Call to Order and Introductions

J. DeMarco, called the meeting to order at 12:20 p.m.

Attendance:

Present: Deb Billups, Joseph DeMarco, Donna Goss, Samuel Hultzman, Tammy Johnson, Patricia Mahoney, Dawne Martyniak, Gregory Pratt, Thomas Shelley

Absent: Carol Bader

Excused: Christina Bucko, Leti McNeill, Lisa Rose

Others Present: D. Stein, H. Mandeville, A. Huizinga, M. Esposito

II. Approval of Minutes

May 1, 2002 EA Minutes

J. DeMarco entertained a motion to approve the May 1, 2002 EA Minutes.

G. Pratt made the motion.

D. Billups seconded it.

The EA voted unanimously to approve the May 1, 2002 EA Minutes.

May 22, 2002 EA Minutes

A. Huizinga asked the EA members to read the minutes that she had emailed out to them and to make any additions that they feel should be made due to a faulty tape. She would like the information submitted to her no later than June 12th.

III. Open Forum

D. Billups handed out an updated list for the EA News and Views author schedule.

D. Stein welcomed D. Goss and T. Johnson to the EA. He thanked D. Billups for coordinating the staff reception, L. Rose for taking part in the GPAD’S reception on May 30th, and P. Mahoney for coordinating the EA meeting that took place in Geneva on May 22nd.

H. Mandeville reminded the EA members that the Office of the Assemblies will be closing for the summer on June 19th and will re-open on August 19th, and if the EA should need any kind of support while the office is closed, they should email her at hm16@cornell.edu.

G. Pratt asked the EA members to look at the proposed 2002–2003 EA calendar for next year and that the EA needs to vote on it to either accept or not accept it.

J. DeMarco made the motion to accept the 2002–2003 EA calendar.

D. Goss seconded it.

The calendar was accepted by the EA.

IV. Business of the Day

Election of EA Officers

The EA went into an organizational meeting.

V. Adjournment

The meeting was adjourned at 2:00 p.m.
