Resolution Provost Initiatives

Whereas, the Employee Assembly (the Assembly) is a governance body on campus charged by its charter to examine university policies affecting employees and recommends changes to the university president and administration,

Whereas, the Assembly has been invited and taken an active role in university-wide committees such as provost search, staff climate survey, cost savings and efficiency, and president’s climate commitment implementation,

Whereas, the provost of the university may be introducing new university wide committees, advisory groups, and review boards for Provost Initiatives,

Be it therefore resolved, that the Assembly is formally requesting that the Provost consider employee representatives on any such committees, groups, or boards, and those representatives be appointed through the existing Employee Assembly appointment process.

Be it finally resolved that, this resolution is transmitted to W. Kent Fuchs, Provost.
