R. 2 Employee Assembly Executive Vice Chair Responsibility Reallocation
Whereas the Employee Assembly Executive Vice Chair position is currently held accountable for maintaining multiple positions and responsibilities such as Executive Vice Chair of the Employee Assembly, Chair of the Employee Assembly Executive Committee, Paw Print board member, Leadership Breakfast member, and attends regular meetings with the Vice President of Human Resources.
Whereas the Employee Assembly is working towards expanding its current number of members to a ratio that improves representation of the Cornell staff population.
Be it resolved that the position of Employee Assembly Vice Chair be separated into the following positions and consequent responsibilities. The Executive Vice Chair of the Employee Assembly and Communications Committee Chair.
Be it further resolved, that section 4.3.3 of the Employee Assembly Charter be amended to remove “serves as Chair of the Communications Committee”, and section 6.4 amended to remove “the Executive Vice Chair of the assembly, who serves as chair of the committee” and “one other voting member of the assembly” to be replaced with “two members of the assembly, one of whom serves as chair” and renumbered accordingly.
