(redirected from EA.20130206R3)

WHEREAS, feedback from the 2011 Employee Engagement Survey of the Cornell Employee community revealed a need to better understand workload/workload imbalance issues.

WHEREAS, it was determined that there was a need to consult with college and unit leaders and their staff to understand workload imbalance issues and develop procedures for reviewing classifications and titles for positions that have changed significantly. And to create recommendations, which center on professional and personal ways to manage workload and maintain peak performance including a university-wide wellness policy.

WHEREAS, four committees were established - Personal Development, The Energy Project, Position Evaluation and Analysis and Alignment and Change Tools to review specific components of Workload/Workload Imbalance

WHEREAS, these committees were comprised of volunteers who gave their time, energy and passion to support the creation of recommendations to improve workload/workload imbalance issues across campus.

BE IT SO RESOLVED, the Employee Assembly (“the Assembly”) expresses its appreciation and heartfelt gratitude for the members of the various workload/workload imbalance committees in creating recommendations that will support the key areas of need that were addressed in the Employee Engagement Survey.

BE IT SO RESOLVED, the Assembly would like to publically recognize the following members of the Workload/Workload Imbalance Committees for their contributions to the final recommendations submitted to President Skorton and Vice President of Human Resources and Safety Services, Mary Opperman.
