Dear President Skorton,

As you know The mission of the Employee Assembly is to be an active voice for the staff and one way we hope to make an impact is to foster a culture of saying thank you to our colleagues and leaders, acknowledging those who go above and beyond in support of our University.

At the last meeting of the Employee Assembly we unanimously passed resolutions of appreciation for the various staff committees, that discussed the key areas of concern identified in the Employee Survey and helped to craft recommendations for change. The EA applauds the efforts the staff who gave their time to help address these important issues and wanted to publicly recognize their efforts through these resolutions which will also be sent to each of the committee leads to share with their members.

Additionally, I am including Resolution 5 in this email. This is the Vice President of Human Resources and Safety Services Appreciation resolution that you have reviewed before but had never been formally transmitted through the Actions@assembly.cornell.edu email.
