Updates: Education Committee’s EDP survey (March 2012) is available online on the committee’s webpage under notices as well as part of documents to facilitate better visibility.

Recap: Areas of focus this year as enlisted from the survey respondents:

Flexibility Supervisory support Tax implications

• Implementation of Idea box results from last semester.
• Information elicited from benefits: Drop outs from EDP program to reach out and gain further information that could be useful for future aspirants.
• Create list serve to facilitate communication among EDP candidates and those interesting in utilizing the education benefits, act as a virtual affinity group for those seeking and offering assistance.
• Pawprint to share list serve details to staff.
• Survey follow-up planned: Draft questions for survey respondents who offered their continued assistance.
• Information solicited from HR regarding orientation brochures to enable more visibility for Ed. Benefits (both state and endowed).
