Joining the Committee
The committee has a total of 15 voting members, 3 ex-officio, non-voting members, and 1 non-voting liaison from the UA.
Undergraduate Students
Five voting positions are available to any undergraduate student at the university. Up to two of these members may be undergraduates.
An additional three “alternate” positions are staffed in the event that any of the regular members cannot attend a meeting.

Graduate and Professional Students
Two voting positions are available to any graduate or professional student at the university.
An additional two “alternate” positions are staffed in the event that any of the regular members cannot attend a meeting.

Employees
Two voting positions are open to employees.
An additional “alternate” position is staffed in the event that any of the regular members cannot attend a meeting.
Employees (non-academic or non-professorial academic staff) wishing to join this committee should apply online:
Faculty
Four voting positions are open to faculty.
An additional “alternate” position is staffed in the event that any of the regular members cannot attend a meeting.
Except where otherwise indicated, faculty positions on assemblies committees are staffed by the Faculty Senate. Since the Faculty Senate is external to the Office of the Assemblies, please inquire directly through the following address if you are a member of Cornell faculty and are interested in serving on an assemblies committee:
University Assembly Members
The UA appoints a liaison from its membership to serve as a non-voting member of this committee.
Ex-Officio Members
The following university staff serve as ex-officio, non-voting members of this committee:
- Director of Gannett Health Services and designates
- Gannett Health Center Administrator and designates
- Director of Counseling and Psychological Services and designates
Administrative Appointments
The professional staff of the university health services appoints two members of the Cornell community to serve on this committee.
An additional “alternate” position is staffed in the event that any of the regular members cannot attend a meeting.
