The Meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m.

III. Business of the Day

Budget hearing sign-ups/ Help sessions this week/ Policy changes/ Budget guidelines Jeopardy

Y. Neverova started off the meeting by passing around budget hearing sign-ups. She asked everyone to sign up for five out of the six hearings.

V. Gehani said that if anyone did not sign up for help sessions last week, to email Ben Schreff. He then went over and discussed the new SAFC policy changes:

• The 25% rule is no longer in practice.
• The commission will no longer accept late budget submissions.
• The “new information” category in the budget application was removed. If necessary, groups would apply under “special projects funding”.
• Air travel documentation requirements have been changed. Will clarify that if airfare cost is less, than the SAFC will fund for that.
• Clarification of funding for charity events.
• Mandatory appeals in order for groups to receive funding.

L. Rosenblum asked the commissioners to divide into groups to participate in a game of Jeopardy, which tested the commissioners’ knowledge of the budget guidelines.

V. Gehani reminded the commissioners to wear their SAFC t-shirts to the help sessions.

IV. Meeting was adjourned at 5:35 pm.
