• Goal: Increase student participation in residential and community affairs
• Current Situation
  • SA has created a VP of Outreach
  • SA has eliminated caps on committees
  • Missions of RSC and ResLife demonstrate overlap
• Proposed New Structure
  • Co-chairs (SA appointed & internally elected)
  • Two SA members (including one of Freshman SA Representatives)
  • Representative from every residential hall (elected by hall councils)
  • Representative from each Co-op, IFC, Pan-Hellenic, MGLC, OCHO, RA council, and Department of Residential Programs
• Proposed Internal Operations
  • Co-chairs
  • Secretary
  • Two national communications coordinators
  • Administrative coordinator
  • RA Council liaison
• Proposed Funding Responsibilities
  • Control funding for additional programming that residential halls want to put on
  • Control funding for events this committee may put on
