WHEREAS the University Assembly (the Assembly) has been authorized to designate a representative to serve on its behalf in the Policy Advisory Group (PAG);

WHEREAS engagement with PAG is a basic part of the Assembly’s engagement in the university policymaking process;

RESOLVED the following article is added to the Bylaws of the Assembly:

• Article 6: Liaisons to Other Organizations
• 6.1 Liaisons
• At its organizational meeting, as soon as is practical thereafter, or whenever a vacancy arises, the University Assembly must appoint liaisons to serve as its representatives in the following bodies:
  • 1. Policy Advisory Group.
• 6.2 Appointment and Removal
• Each liaison may be appointed or removed by the same procedure as for appointing or removing a member of a standing committee.
