Response from President RE: Resolution 4

Dear Adebola,

On the recommendation of the Judicial Codes Counselor Search Committee, I am pleased to name you to serve as the next Judicial Codes Counselor (JCC) for a term beginning July 1, 2016 and ending June 30, 2017. The JCC is critical to the fair and effective operation of our campus judicial system, and I am confident that you will be an effective advocate for those you assist in your term of service.

Because of the training time needed, over the years the Search Committee has sought the next Associate Judicial Codes Counselor, who as a second year law student, works closely with the third year law student who serves as the Judicial Codes Counselor. You will serve as the Associate JCC for the term beginning July 1, 2015 and ending June 30, 2016. At the end of his or her second year, the Associate automatically becomes the Judicial Codes Counselor and serves in that role during the third year of Law School.

Pursuant to Article 4, Section 3 of the University Assembly (UA) Charter, your appointment is subject to approval by that body. By way of this letter, I am requesting that the UA consider your appointment at its next regular meeting, currently scheduled for March 24, 2015.

Thank you for your service to the university community.

Best regards,

David
