Joining the Committee

The committee has a total of 12 voting members, 5 ex-officio, non-voting members.

Undergraduate Students

Two voting positions are open to undergraduate students.

Undergraduate students wishing to join this committee should apply online:

Graduate and Professional Students

One voting position is open to graduate and professional students.

Graduate or professional students wishing to join this committee should apply online:

Employees

Two voting positions are open to employees.

One is internally appointed by the board.

The remaining employee position is staffed by the employee assembly.

Employees (non-academic or non-professorial academic staff) wishing to join this committee should apply online:

Faculty

Three voting positions are open to faculty.

Of these, two are internally appointed.

The remaining position is staffed by the Faculty Senate.

Except where otherwise indicated, faculty positions on assemblies committees are staffed by the Faculty Senate. Since the Faculty Senate is external to the Office of the Assemblies, please inquire directly through the following address if you are a member of Cornell faculty and are interested in serving on an assemblies committee:

University Assembly Members

The University Assembly appoints a voting, student member of the committee.

Ex-Officio Members

The following university staff serve as ex-officio, non-voting members of this committee:

  • CURW Director
  • CURW Assistant Director
  • CURW Administrative Supervisor
  • Dean of Students
  • Vice President for Academic Programs and Campus Affairs

The following serve as ex-officio, voting members of this board:

  • Sage Chapel Choir President
  • Sage Chapel Host

Administrative Appointments

The Vice President of Student and Academic Services appoints one voting delegate to the board from staff.

Internal Appointments

This board appoints staffs several positions itself:

  • Two faculty
  • One employee from the Center for Relgion, Ethics, and Policy
