Student Assembly

Whereas, Section M, Appendix B of the Student Assembly Charter reads,

“African, Latino, Asian, Native American Students Programming Board (ALANA)

1. Seventy-five cents of ALANA’s allocation shall be used to co-sponsor events with other organizations. Two dollars shall be used to fund the MCFAB concert each year. Two dollars and twenty-five cents shall be used for ALANA events and administrative expenses.

2. All tickets for the MCFAB concert series shall bear the Student Activity Fee logo.

3. Fifteen cents each year shall be encouraged to be used for an event during Orientation or Welcome Weekend.”;

Whereas, this part of Appendix B was written when ALANA was allocated five dollars per student of the Student Activity Fee;

Whereas, ALANA was allocated seven dollars and twenty-five cents per student of the activity fee for the 2006–2007 and 2007–2008 byline funding cycles;

Be it therefore resolved that Appendix B will reflect the increase in funding and read as follows:

“African, Latino, Asian, Native American Students Programming Board (ALANA)

1. Seventy-five cents One dollar and twenty-five cents of ALANA’s allocation shall be used to co-sponsor events with other organizations. Two dollars shall be used to fund the MCFAB concert each year. Two dollars and twenty-five cents Four dollars shall be used for ALANA events and administrative expenses.

2. All tickets for the MCFAB concert series shall bear the Student Activity Fee logo.

3. Fifteen cents each year shall be encouraged to be used for an event during Orientation or Welcome Weekend.”
