Please find Resolution #2 and Resolution #12 attached for your review.

Resolution #2 initially appeared at the SA’s first meeting on September 2nd and was subsequently postponed by a majority vote of the SA to allow staff from CIT to review it. The sponsors of the resolution reviewed the resolution with CIT staff, made amendments to it, and brought it back to the Assembly for approval. This past Thursday, September 23rd the SA unanimously approved the resolution.

Resolution #12 was initially presented at the SA’s September 16th meeting and was voted on this past Thursday, September 23rd. The SA discussed and debated the merits of this resolution for over an hour. The SA’s debate encompassed the value of the resolution as well as whether the resolution conflicted with the SA’s Bylaws. The SA decided that the Resolution had value and that because the resolution was presented in the form of a “recommendation” and not a “request for information”, the resolution did not violate the SA’s Bylaws regarding salary requests. The Resolution was adopted by a vote of 12 to 4 with 6 abstentions.
