Announcement of Goals and Process

Welcome everybody to the first debate over a Student Bill of Rights!

Today’s events will start with the moderator asking each panel member a question, to which they will have three to five minutes to respond. After each response, the moderator will call on members of the audience to ask a couple follow up questions. Once all the panel members have spoken and answered questions, Student Assembly members will have 10-minute break out sessions with community members. During these breakout sessions, Assembly members will elicit the concerns of community members regarding R. 79: Calling for a Student Bill of Rights to be Promulgated. Thereafter, the Student Assembly will call the meeting to order to hear debate on the resolution. Hopefully, community members will stay for the debate and participate by putting themselves on the Speaker’s List. By the end of the meeting, we may vote on Resolution 79.
