Whereas, the Student Assembly created the Ad Hoc Late Night Programming Committee through Resolution 18;

Whereas, the Late Night Programming Committee wrote a report which was submitted to the SA and transmitted to the President at the end of the Fall semester and which began the discussion regarding the creation of a campus Pub;

Whereas, the Late Night Programming Committee has written the Pub Report, has received financial commitments from multiple Byline funded student organizations and has continued the discussions regarding the creation of a Pub with CU Dining and the Administration;

Whereas, the this Ad Hoc Committee has made the SA the arbitrator of the entire Pub discussion and can be credited with its creation;

Whereas, one of the SA’s primary roles is to use its discretionary funds in a manner which will serve students

Whereas, the SA is projected to roll-over about $20,000 from its current budget to next year’s budget

Whereas, the Campus Pub is a real and achievable accomplishment for the SA and which will serve student for many years to come;

Whereas, the SA must continue to serve in its function as the allocator of the Student Activity Fee which includes its own budget,

Whereas, the success of the Campus Pub is entirely dependent on the success of its programming.

Be it therefore resolved, that the $10,803.50 which was allocated to the SAFC through resolution 71 be paid back, in full, not the Student Assembly but to the Student Union Board (SUB) to be specifically allocated for its Pub Committee for the express purpose of providing programming in the Campus Pub venue.

Respectfully Submitted,

Vincent Andrews
President of the Student Assembly
