May 24, 2011 Letter from President Skorton

Dear Vincent,

Thank you for forwarding a series of resolutions from the Student Assembly for my review and consideration.

I approve Resolution 51 amending the Student Assembly Charter, Article IV, Section 1a, Composition, in which you have reallocated the designation of the voting membership of the organization, shifting one of the at-large seats to a candidate who shall represent women’s issues. You also have informed me of the consequent change in the Student Assembly Bylaws, Article VI, Section 5, describing the membership of the Student Assembly Committee on Women’s Issues, which I appreciate.

I also approve Resolution 62, which further amends the Student Assembly Charter, Article IV, Section 1a, Composition, in which you define the categories from which two undesignated at-large seats are to be contested to include candidates running for president, executive vice president, and other non-constituent, undesignated at-large group candidates.

I also approve Resolution 63 amending Article V, Section 1 of the Student Assembly Charter regarding the proposal of amendments.

I thank you for all that you have done for the campus this past year and, in fact, during your four years here. You have been a wonderful campus leader and helpful advisor.

Best regards,

David Skorton
