S.A. Resolution 7: Creating the S.A. NYC Tech Campus Ad-hoc Committee

Whereas, Cornell is seeking to create a graduate level engineering school in New York City

Whereas, securing this opportunity would be a huge boon to Cornell University and especially to Cornell Students

Whereas, it is the Student Assembly’s “responsibility to examine any matters which involve the interests or concern the welfare of the student community.”

Whereas, student support behind this project is especially important

Be it therefore resolved, that the S.A. create an ad-hoc committee to unite students in support of the NYC Tech Campus. The committee’s membership shall consist of three student assembly representatives. Additional membership can be granted at the discretion of the S.A. Staffing committee. The committee shall be co-chaired by one of the Engineering representatives and one of the At-Large Representatives

Be it further resolved, that the ad-hoc committee will present its plan in the form of a report to the Student Assembly

Respectfully Submitted,

Geoffrey Block ‘14
At-Large Representative, Student Assembly

Erin Szulman ‘12

Adam Wolford ‘14
