Sponsored by: Geoffrey Block ‘14, Erin Szulman ‘12, Adam Wolford ‘14 Ross Gitlin ‘15
Whereas, Mayor Bloomberg and the New York City Economic Development Corporation are looking to create a new campus in New York City, dedicated to applied sciences
Whereas, Cornell is one of many universities around the globe bidding for the opportunity to create a world-class academic research facility.
Whereas, This campus will provide Cornellians an unparalleled opportunity to collaborate with industry leaders in a hands-on-environment and solve the problems of tomorrow and establish NYC as the global epicenter for academics and business.
Whereas, Many Cornellians are from New York City, dedicated to living in NYC, invested in NYC, & would like to be involved in bettering the city
Whereas, Cornellians are unique in their overwhelming support for New York City and projects
Whereas, There is widespread and near unanimous student support behind this initiative
Be it therefore resolved, that the Student Assembly fully supports Cornell’s bid to create a Tech Campus in NYC
