Sponsored by: Jacob Reisch ‘13, Jaeil Lee ‘14, Jill Marshall ‘13, Sarah Balik ‘15, Gregory Braciak ‘14, Narda Terrones ‘14 , Anisha Chopra ‘13, Enrico Bonatti ‘14, Inge Chen ‘15, Cameron Pritchett ‘15, Thomas Lovely ‘16

Whereas, the Student Assembly has strived to foster an environmentally friendly community at Cornell University that supports all of its members

Whereas, many students have expressed their concerns about green energy and sustainability

Whereas, energy efficiency upgrades average substantially higher returns than current endowment investments

Whereas, green revolving funds expand student learning and research opportunities, enhance energy conservation efforts, and secure financial resources for future investment.

Whereas, green revolving funds have been implemented at Harvard University, Dartmouth College, University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, and Princeton.

Whereas, the cost is a .05% administrative fee capped at $2500

Whereas, seed funding can come from the operating budget, administrative budget, the endowment, cash reserves, or the Energy Conservation Initiative.

Be it therefore resolved, that the SA strongly supports a Cornell University Green Revolving Fund to be seeded by the endowment.
