Joining the Committee

The committee has a total of 10 voting members and 3 non-voting administrative appointments. Terms of appointment are one year unless otherwise indicated.

About Joining a Committee

Undergraduate Students

Seven voting positions are open to undergraduate students. These positions are subject to the following specifications:

  • three positions are open to all undergraduate students
  • four are open to students representing organizations with a self-stated environmental interest

Graduate and Professional Students

Two voting positions are open to graduate and professional students.

Student Assembly Members

The Student Assembly appoints one of its members to serve as a liaison and voting member of this committee.

Administrative Appointments

The following units appoint non-voting reprentatives to this committee:

  • Residence Life
  • Cornell Dining
  • Facilities Management

Internal Appointments

The committee may appoint additional members as it sees fit. If you are interested in joining the committee and there is no vacancy in the standard seats, contact the chair.
